The tendency to immediately defend one’s position by blaming the opposition for any shortcomings and taking every opportunity to spin any situation to gain any short-term benefit for one’s position would at the bare minimum happen less often or better yet cease. People would realize the person with whom they are opposed is part of them. We all want pleasure and seek to avoid pain. Who would continue to knowing harm themselves if they can avoid that pain?
It’s easy to blame the other person, and recognizing my own contribution to the issue isn’t always the first priority. Communicating about issues with grace and tact in the other’s language also takes some learning.
If all must be corrected and the strength of the reforming light correlates positively with the increasing connections and individual desires for correction, then as we increase in number, the strength of the reforming light also increases.
I believe that by working in a group and changing my intention from drawing the light toward myself to wanting my friends to receive the light and striving for a loving connection with them, I draw nearer to the Creator and share in the light from my efforts to bestow on others. In normal english terms, I must seek to love and give to others that which I desire most; it is a requirement to fulfilling the purpose of my life.
