Hello everyone. Nice to be with you all in the study of the Zohar. I wish to advance the depth of my spirituality through Zohar and connection with others on the same paths.
When we talk about the ‘ladder’ from above to below and from below to above, and our movement upon it makes me think of the story of Jacob’s Ladder from the Older testament of the Bible. I have been taught that many of these stories in the Bible are symbolic stories which point to those activities we should be trying to live in our lives. So would Jacob’s ladder be a source of understanding this teaching of ‘above to below and below to above’ ?
The will to bestow is also described as Unconditional Altruism. Is this a similtude for unconditional love? How should we define Unconditional Altruism and is this the same as unconditional love?
I have longed believed that a person’s purpose in this world is to learn all that we can about ourselves, our environment, our relationship to each other and the world around us. To learn how these things work and interact to bring what we know as life into being. We need to learn these things in order to be worthy of inheireting the creative nature of God and then to participate in the ongoing creation of existence as sons and daughters of the most high.
I always thought this was an exciting gift that the Elohim gave to us, the opportunity to become like God’s ourselves, to be a part of a Cosmic community of enlightened beings. After chasing this Gnosis around for 50 years I have arrived at the point of departure of this grand experience, Kabbalah. I is my wish that Kabbalah will lead me to this end…or rather begining. 🙂
That Kabbalah predated all other Religions, Philosophies and Sciences. Also that when Kabbalah was taken “under ground” as it were, disappearing from the public eye and being guarded for a future time, all because the folks of the day were interested in the other aformentioned bodies of knowledge….Brilliant!
