I have been studying with Rav Laitman casually for 20 years and while the methods of Kabbalah absolutely ring true with my life experience/revelations, this special language seems so cultish. Like we have to speak the lingo to join the club. I don’t want to be in the club but I genuinely desire to study further, to attain the worlds beyond and for unification with the Creator. I just continually get turned off by getting sucked into the organization. Is this typical or am I just stuck in this lifetime?
My hope for each of you is to keep on the middle path. When we stray, adjust and return to it. And please keep holding the intention for our connection! Bear the heart of flesh. The reunionfication is coming.
I’m listening to the audio of Attaining Worlds Beyond. The line is toward the beginning of chapter 2, “From all the ‘Afer’ said it should become clear, that the only element lacking in our world is the perception of the Creator.” I’ve listened to the book many times and not found a reference to who that is.
A lifetime of knocking around without genuine understanding and reconciliation to the Creator has brought me face to face with the emptiness and dissatisfaction of the world we live in. There is deep desire to transcend my own physical/mental/emotional limitations, to become one with the almighty creator and shed the egoism that causes me so much suffering.
