In terms of the different levels of existence, is there any movement between levels? Is there anyway that animal level “moves up”? Or am I being too concrete? Do the lower levels have what we could understand as souls that also change, develop, and progress?
Reading the tip of the week about not neglecting other responsibilities and just sitting in your room studying,…..as I was sitting in my neglected room for the past weeks studying. Yes, that was me. But I don’t want to vacuum I want to study.
I have been thinking a lot about altruism and there seems to be different levels of altruism. There is an altruism that involves sacrifice and loss and a lot of pain. It is more sacrifice then altruism. My nephew decided to give his baby bottles to the little boy next-door this went well until he returned home and felt the pain of what he had lost and changed his mind. I was patting myself on the back for an altruistic action when I too changed my mind. What a struggle to do the right thing when it leaves you with pain.
