In Proverbs 27:17 we read “Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.” Connecting with others allows us to work together with our own desires of reaching adhesion with the Creator, and as a team make up for whatever lack the individual possesses.
The essence of real love always flows from one point to another, much like the force that flows electricity from positive to negative. A society based on the principle of “loving your neighbor as yourself,” would by nature flow love and concern from each person to the other synergistically like the cells of a body that work together in harmony.
One cell in a human body can not accomplish any more than what it was designed to do, but when combined with all the other cells in the body, it can work together to do whatever the soul of the man desires. We, likewise, need to work together to achieve correction.
I remember that when I was young I totally hated being a “kid.” I felt trapped in my body and circumstances and wanted the liberation and freedom that being an adult would afford me. So how can I fortify my connection and amplify its influence? I suppose being open to casting off my spiritual childhood and allowing the Creator to lead me deeper into spirituality whatever the cost.
People say that they climb Mount Everest because it is there. Likewise, I want to begin climbing the 125-step ladder and experience everything the Creator laid out for my life. From what I gather, I’ve been bumbling around for almost 6000 years, so it’s time I get the ball rolling!
