I love Paul’s reply (#57665). I visualize myself in the course as the “Star Baby” at the end of Stanley Kubrick’s “2001: A Space Odyssey” being prepared by Nature in the form of Father God to emerge into the warm light of godliness, leaving the placenta of egoism behind.
Narcissism and all our desires come from God and Nature IS God. But to rise to a higher level of fulfillment we must learn first to seek and find a balance between receiving and bestowing, where bestowing is “giving without calculation of return.” The historical truth of Abraham is inspiring and informative to progress further. The Creator already has connected me with a colleague in Urok (Iraq) to return there at the appropriate time and start over.

1. Its so inspiring to go beyond the fear of our own narcissism now that we realize that is an equivalence in form to our fear of the Creator.
2. I finally stopped worrying and learned to love the Tsar Bomba. (No, I’m not Dr. Strangelove.)
3. I wish for me and my fellow students the ability to keep our flush toilets, jelly doughnuts, and all the accoutrements afforded by the high technology of the Modern Egypt, and thence to maintain an attitude of total abandonment of all that to save one flower, one child, one soul abandoned in the desert, where we first found the Creator and were given the Torah.
1. I had always hoped that my narcissism could pass and the course showed me how!
2. My narcissism could be “cured”.
3. That others would join me in our common rise to bestowal and godliness.
