I’m curious about this concept of how to expand ego and correcting it? Can you tell me more about this?

Is it ok to have desires for some specific job, specific company or some specific salary? Is it also ok to have some selfish desires, like, for example, to travel the world?

It is said in video that we are purposely given desires in egoistic form, like a tool. Can you tell me more about how to transform this ego driven desires?
