Ultimately, by surrendering our attempts to desire what we think we should. It’s impossible to overcome ego without help from the Creator because everything we do is egoistic. I heard this quote: “Saying, “I’m going to get rid of my ego!” is like banging a drum in search of a fugitive.” It’s like a sick person operating on themselves. So, we try and try but eventually realize we can’t do it. Then the Creator can perform that work in us. And repeat (:
I’m grateful for all the people here and so excited to be part of this spiritual revolution. The more we can surrender our own ambitions and desires, the more we can find the light of altruism within us. To embrace other-centered love truly is the highest of joys.
I recognize that the “I” or my “ego” is the enemy and that if I’m ever to be one with the Light within me, it must die. Only then will I be granted a perfected ego for eternity.
This lesson was awesome. I finally am starting to understand the goal of creation. The beauty of it is that the Creator is the one getting us to the goal. To trust (have faith) in the Creator’s complete rule is a life of peace and joy through altruism. We’re all on our way!
