    Of course each one perceives through his own vessels.  That is clear.
    However we also live on earth and there are laws that are established.  While we study that spirituality is beyond time, space and motion, we also live in a world where gravity is a reality.
    We know that it is hotter in the summer than it is in the winter.  So like this we start to construct for ourselves an understanding of what we are studying.   There will be confusions, of course, but we advance with both heart and mind, these are our tools, so take notes, try to understand at least in a simple way without bringing all of your luggage from your past, just learn what we are studying in a simple way.  Later we will acquire other tools which are above our mind, but even then we still return to the mind and back and forth from entrances and exits we advance, as it says, “the Torah will come out of Zion (exits)”.

    All of our thoughts and everything in reality develops through a process of cause and effect.  Thoughts serve the desire.  Change the desire and the thoughts will change.

    Zeinab,
    All of our bodily desires renew naturally, hunger, sleep, etc.
    Unlike our bodily desires, our spiritual desire is given to us and then it is upon us to develop it consciously, through our efforts.  Through our study and through the work with the others on the path with us we build an inner system in our emotions of what the Creator is, what is it that we are aiming to attain.  After all the Creator does not change, the light of the Creator fills all of reality endlessly with no limitation.  It is only upon us to prepare our spiritual vessels for this.
    That is the purpose of our study to draw lights upon us that clarify what is this spiritual desire, where is it and raises us to it?  When the vessel is ready, the light immidiatly fills it.
    To correct our will to receive we are given the world around us.  And the work begins with the small circle of those who are studying with us, who are playing this game with us, we will learn about this much more in the next semesters.  From there we will expand the circles wider and wider until we include the whole of reality in our hearts.

    Hi Leah,
    We are generally referring to perception of the spiritual reality.
    Our corporeal 5 senses are roots of the upper sefirot.
    Hochma = eyes
    Bina = ears
    etc..
    But altogether we are referring to opening up a completely different perception of reality, something eternal.

    Aaron,
    Everything in reality is part of one system that changes form over and over again as it moves through time.  A watermelon seed falls to the ground, rots, opens, sprouts and a new watermelon plant grows filled with 100 new seeds.  It’s one force that is developing and changing forms along the way.
    We humans are unique from all of the rocks, plants and animals in that our heart and mind are developed to such an extent that we can learn from the past and grow 100 times in one lifetime of our body, maybe 1000 times in one lifetime of our body.  We can develop our desire for something eternal and then when the protein body’s time has come and it passes, but soul which we reached continues on forever.

    zeinab,
    We are a will to receive.  That will not change.  That is what the Creator created.
    He wants to fill us will delight.  So, we need to have the quality to receive.
    The problem is that being receivers we are 100% opposite from Him who is the bestower.
    So we can receive or not receive, but by not receiving, we don’t fulfill the plan of creation, we remain eternally empty and the Creator’s plan of creating a creature and filling it with delight cannot come to fruition.
    So there was a correction on creation that was made, that the creature can receive, but receive in order to give contentment to the Creator.
    That is called the correction of creation.
    When you have completed these fundamental courses you can enter the graduate environment where we being to study together the texts that describe all of these processes and draw the lights upon us that helps us go through this transformation.
    In short, we are talking about rising from the degree of beast where everything one does is for his own sake to the degree of Adam, of man, to be similar to the Creator. As His intention is to bestow, so our intention is to bestow.
    This comes from growing the desire for spirituality by drawing the light from the books of the kabbalists and engaging in the inner, practical kabbalah that happens between the kabbalists.
