  • Devorah,
I don’t know if it was intentional.  But it may have been a stumbling block.
It is known in the work that Jew, Israel or Hebrew all refer to qualities in a person.
A person also contains  in him the 70 nations from Zeir Anpin.
Zeir Anpin is composed of seven Sefirot, and each Sefira of ten, which totals 70.
We will study the structure of reality in later classes, but when kabbalists speak of Israel they are describing a desire in a person Yashar El, straight to the Creator.
A person also has all of the other desires on the inanimate, vegatative and animate degrees.  This is not considered spiritual but a person must live according to the laws of nature of those degrees, he must eat, and work, and provide a comfortable life for the family, etc. That is on the level of animate like every animate creature, some sleep a lot, some not as much, some eat meat, some eat vegatation, some are aggressive, some are passive ,etc.
But on the degree of human, the spiritual degree, we are given the books and the kabbalistic group and the teacher to direct us towards the Creator.
So it doesn’t matter if my body, if my 70 nations are eating, sleeping, making and raising children, working, exercising, resting, above all of that on the degree of my soul, on the degree of the desire of Israel, I am in adhesion with the Creator.

    Maria,
It is impossible to dominate the ego.
This is the creation that the Creator created and without it we will not be able to receive the abundance that He prepared for us.
All of our work is to increase the love between us so that loving the friends is more important than receiving for ourselves.  This is called the correction of creation, where all that we necessarily must receive is received only for the benefit of the others.

    Lora,
    Yes, you can say that.

    OK.

    steve,

All of the names that we have for the Creator do not describe the Creator objectively.  Each of the names is according to how we attain Him.  When we attain Him, we discover how our soul consists of four parts, called Yud, Hey, Vav, Hey (י-ה-ו-ה).
It is impossible to realize God in language, but only in desire, that is what it means that it is forbidden, it means impossible.  We thus name the Creator according to our sensation of the Creator, and there is thus nothing to be afraid of regarding the name of the Creator.
The prohibition means that it is impossible to actually “name” Him objectively.

    Luke,

I don’t know you, or what you are considering your impure vessel or what is your mental and emotional state.

If you don’t feel good when you read, so don’t read. This is common sense, not kabbalah.

Additionally, and more importantly you found here a true method, with instructors who are guiding you to open the texts correctly. If you want to study for hours, study the materials in the coursework. And if you have free time, repeat it.  That is the correct way to advance.

Once you start the spiritual work and work with advancing using the left and right line and ascents and descents then you’ll ask again, or more likely will not need to ask this question because you will understand and feel how to do the work.
