The fact that prayer is used as transformation, For many of us we’ ve prayed that our Creator/God would change things, change people, change our circumstances, but the main objective of prayer should be to TRANSFORM us.
Core Purposes of Prayer
Restoring Divine Unity: The central objective is to effect the union of the Shekhinah (God’s indwelling presence) with the Holy One, restoring perfection to the divine realm.
Elevating Consciousness: Prayer is a technology for building a higher level of consciousness, allowing energy and intentions to ascend to the spiritual realm.
Personal Transformation: Instead of changing God, prayer changes the individual by elevating their frequency and bringing them into harmony with the “Lightforce”.
Connecting Earth and Heaven: It serves as a conduit connecting human actions on Earth to celestial forces. Instagram +3
From a kabbalistic point of view, however, prayer, as it is expounded in the Biblical text, has a completely different and even opposite role. Instead of concentrating on the literal meaning of the prayers, the kabbalist dwells in the realm of the Divine forces, and when reciting the words, directs his mind to the Lightforce that governs and motivates every living force.
The doctrine of kavanah, which is the meditation that accompanies the words of prayer, is primary, whereas the words themselves are considered secondary in importance. The kabbalist considers the words as the body or channel for the more important phase of kavanot, which I liken to the soul of prayer. (taken from article by Rav Berg 10/22/2014)
Lastly regarding prayer. What are the intention behind our words? Our desire should be to connect with the upper force, to strive to become one with our Creator, not so much beseeching him for things or to change someone else, but to transform us.
I found the following quite interesting and I had never thought of spirituality that way before. It makes perfect sense. We do not have to sit passively but can actually amplify our vessel.
The more light I attract, this will reform me and accelerate my spiritual evolution.

In my opinion a thing becomes more valuable to me if I share it. For instance if I see a great movie I usually will tell someone else about it. The joy is in the sharing.
More importantly than a movie is the knowledge that we are learning in order to advance Spiritually by attracting the light that reforms. We are all in need of reformation from our egoistic way of thinking. Our only wanting to receive as opposed to the will to bestow. The more we share and help others, especially those on this path, the more we are reformed as well.
From Video 3.1 learned just how uncontrolled the EGO can be. The ego wants to exploit everything around it.
I saw this in action this week when a guy I had not seen or heard from in over 30 years got in touch with me. His egoistic nature was shining through as he had ulterior motives. Mind you this guy is married with adult children and even grandchildren but he wanted to exploit me by wanting to get involved behind his wife’s back.
I was able to (without using Kabbalist terms) let him know that I am on a new path which is showing me how to live a spiritual life.
We fortify our connection by becoming more like the Creator by 1} become intentional in shedding our egoistic way of self-interest 2} Continuing to study, meditate on the teachings and developing selfless actions. 3} By allowing ourselves to be used to display the Divine light of the Creator we influence those around us for good.
We amplify its transformative influence by practicing mindfulness of the Divine through prayer, meditation, and integrating this awareness into daily life We also recognize the need for connection and bonding with our fellow students.

Humility and Self-Reflection: Recognizing the need for help from above and clearing the ego of its self-centered motivations to create space for the Light.

All in all, knowledge without application does one no good. We must be intentional about our behavior by allowing the Divine Light to help us align with the mind of the Creator.
