Connection with the others in the group, an intention of giving to the others, having a good feeling and holding the others in higher regard than myself, having the intention for their spiritual elevation above my own.

The issues would be approached from the perspective of finding solutions that benefit others, and not just ourselves.  If I am making actions to benefit you, and you are making actions to benefit me, with the intention of benefiting one another and not ourselves, this is bestowal.
