We should study and practice the ways in which we can correct our desires to be for the benefit of all, knowing how to give and receive love in the right way.
I’ve thought that I have free will in my possibility to choose how I react to the things that happen in life, i.e. that it’s about my attitude in a way. Now I learned that it has to do with choosing the right environment, and I see the wisdom in that. I just wonder about the old saying along the lines of “the Master will come when the Student is ready”, meaning that the “environment” finds you when you want to and need to find it. Then it doesn’t seem like free will is at play, does it? I’m confused.
Yes, and it has puzzled me throughout my life. People see the same “reality” in such differing ways that the only logical explanation is that we each have our own perception, and fail to see the other person’s version of it.
I’ve learned that Kabbalah is not only a science but a very practical system for living. Reading a lot and learning with the intellect is not enough (or even recommended) if the things learned are not put into practice and test.
