It’s challenging for me to be asked to express what any of my expectations are. I have a long history of feeling certain expectations only to have them become opposite to what I believed would happen. I have learned that it is better for me to go with the flow and accept the outcome. However, since you asked, I will give it a shot.
My expectation for the Kabbalah in Action course is that it will unfold all the teachings in a precise way in order for me to learn. The expectation that I have for myself is that I will apply my attention to the teachings as given to best understand them and from there to process and internalize in order to come to know who I am and where I fit within and amongst all that is in creation.
I would say the best realization from the previous course is how much inner work I have yet to do. I have learned not to have expectations about anything but what will be will be.
What I learned about myself is that working to position my ego in the corrected way will take a great effort and it is challenging to understand if my efforts are getting anything done. However, what is inspiring is to know that there is a plan in place for all of us.
What I would say to my fellow students is to keep at it and not to give up.
Hello. My preferred name is Juule. I was born in the midst of the Rocky Mountains of USA where I have lived my life so far. I was raised in the Catholic religion and never really took to it even though I was compelled to do so while living with my parents. When I became autonomous after moving out, I looked to an alternative spiritual tradition to sustain me which I learned and practiced for over 30 years. After all the time I lived and learned about things I know never to have any expectations about anything. What Kabbalah can deliver for me will be what it is.
