To help the others is to emphasize their importance in our minds. We should feel as though they are the Creator speaking to us. And we should not think of ourselves as much as possible but only seek to benefit the friends and encourage them and care for their advancement and well-being.

[Branden]

I was blown away by Julian saying that our sense of ‘me’, our internal world…that is GE. And what we perceive as external, as having its own volition, others…that is simply our AHP. And our efforts should be directed at bringing the desires of the AHP ever closer, so that we feel them as within us. Then we can ascend to the next GE.

[Branden]

We can fortify our connection with the illuminating force by renewing our desire for it as frequently as possible. This can be done through surrounding ourselves with materials and peers focused on this goal.

[Branden]

I really appreciated the lesson telling me that the point in the heart is also egoistical. But that’s okay! We should just focus on developing it nonetheless and not worry about it being egoistical since this is simply Lo Lishma which is a valid and natural phase of the path.

[Branden]

maybe you must somehow begin to have the same level of concern for others as you do for yourself?

[Branden]

I want to aim my desire toward love and bestowal and shift my focus away from my self reference frame.
