Albert – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Iris,
Spirituality works according to the law of equivalence of form. Meaning that in order to reveal spirituality, we need to become similar to it, to the pure qualities of love and bestowal that are found there.
This is just like how a radio can pick up an external wave, when we tune the internal frequency of the radio to that wave. But if we have not tuned ourselves to spirituality, if we have not corrected our opposite egoistic nature, then we would not perceive it.
And since the death of our animalistic body does not correct our egoistic nature, it would not make a difference in our goal of reaching spirituality. Instead, we would need to reincarnate again and again until we finish this correction.

Bryon
ParticipantIs it necessary to memorize the different worlds? I know they we shouldn’t worry about learning Hebrew but so much of it is used in these teachings. Why is this?

Albert – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Bryon,
It’s not a must. You’re going to hear the basic terms so many times that you’ll naturally memorize them. But if after a while you’re still struggling with them, then maybe it’s worth making the effort to memorize the basic terms.
As for Hebrew, Hebrew is a language built for passing spiritual meaning, not just the meaning of the words, but every single letter and shape of the letter is a code for a spiritual state.

Ricardo TadeuParticipantI have 2 questions. Rav Michel stated: “But something happened at the beginning of the Common Era, in the destruction of temple, which made it impossible for the people of that generation and for the two thousand years that followed to really understand anything in Kabbalah.” Does this event have anything to do with the birth of Jesus? How does Kabbalah see Jesus? 2. Rav Michel said that Kabbalah was hidden until 1995. What happened in this particular year to change Kabbalah from something hidden to a widespread source of knowledge where anyone interested in knowing their purpose in life (I would say almost all of humanity) ) can achieve?

Albert – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Ricardo,
1. Kabbalistic writings don’t talk about Jesus. So we could speculate one way or another whether he was a Kabbalist or not, but these would just be speculations. We should keep in mind that Kabbalah is a science. Kabbalah only deals with the correction of our egoistic nature and the revelation of the Creator. It has no connection to faith, religion, or religious leaders.
But ultimately these things are not so opposed. Both talk about the importance of loving others as yourself. Kabbalah goes even further and gives us a method to actualize loving others to such an extent that we can reveal in our lives the Creator, the general force of love and bestowal.
2. Although we point to 1995 as to when Kabbalah became revealed, technically the prohibition was lifted much earlier, from the time of the Ari. He was the one to make a very special correction within the entire spiritual system, after which its not only possible, but a must to openly disseminate the wisdom of Kabbalah in order to help the whole world reach its correction.
Check out this blog post from Rav Laitman for more details on the Ari: https://laitman.com/2010/08/the-ari-rav-isaac-luria-the-godly-man/
So why do we say 1995? Let’s put a few things into perspective:
Kabbalah is the method of correction of our egoistic nature, thereby revealing the Creator, the general force of love and bestowal. Why was it necessary to conceal such a wisdom? Because egoism was still not yet fully developed. For example: if you compare Kabbalah to a medicine that can cure a rare disease, obviously you can’t take the medicine before you’re diagnosed with the disease, but once the disease actually manifests, you can take the medicine and be cured of it.
It’s just like the 5 stages development of a disease within a person. First a person is healthy. Then he is sick, but he does not feel it. Then the disease spreads to the point that he starts to feel pain and symptoms of the disease. This then pushes him to go to a doctor to get diagnosed and find the cure, and etc.
2000 years ago, egoism was still on a very low level, there was no need to correct it. Starting from the days of the Ari, egoism already grew to a certain extent (and technically the prohibition on Kabbalah ended there), but humanity still didn’t feel sick, on the contrary the ego was the main driving force of all of our development. Then from around 1995 egoism peaked and began to show itself as bad, like a cancer that begins to kill the host body. This is the peak at which there was a true need for the cure. Which in essence is what the Kabbalists have been waiting for all these years, for the desire, for egoism to fully ripen.

Mark
ParticipantA Jewish friend of my wife, who also studied Kabbalah many years ago, mentioned that the revelation of the spiritual world can be very scary. My wife had experiences with the spiritual world, which she found scary. I am a very curious person, and have been wondering about the purpose of life since my late teenager years.
My question is: is there any reason to be careful while studying Kabbalah?

Albert – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Mark,
Each and every person is completely unique and feels the world through his/her uniqueness. As such, it’s impossible to compare how one person feels spirituality with another. But from my own experience of 16 years of studying Kabbalah, I have not found anything scary about it.

Jade SophiaParticipantHello,
From “Attaining the Worlds Beyond”, page 38, could you please explain what is meant by: “emulating spiritual objects”?
Thank you

Albert – KabU InstructorModeratorHi Jade,
Emulating meaning trying to become similar to them.
Perceiving spirituality works according to the law of equivalence of form. We can see an example of this law in radio receivers. That when we tune the internal frequency of the radio receiver to match the frequency of the external radio wave, then we can pick up that wave and hear it.
Likewise in our spiritual work, when we become similar to the Creator, we can reveal Him in practice. This is essentially all of our work, to become more and more similar to Him, to His qualities of love and bestowal. All the way until we reach complete adhesion with Him.
