Hello,

I am having trouble grasping the concept of root language vs branch language. Why is this so? Is it not the creator’s desire for us to understand the meaning of life so that we can journey back to the creator?

Hi Brenda,

The language of roots and branches is a type of code that uses words of our world to describe spiritual phenomena. It’s similar to how binary code works in computers. To us it seems just like a bunch of zeros and ones, but a computer can properly decipher those things and display what those zeros and ones represent.

Likewise with the language of roots and branches, if we’re not in spirituality, Kabbalistic writings seem to us like stories talking about our world. But for Kabbalists, those that are able to decipher these words, they can reveal the spiritual phenomena behind them.

As for journeying back to the Creator, that works according to the law of equivalence of form. Meaning that to reach the Creator, we need to become similar to Him, to His qualities of love and bestowal. This is just like how a radio can pick up an external wave, when we tune the internal frequency of the radio to that wave.

Since our nature is pure reception, while His nature is pure bestowal, we cannot just press a button and change ourselves to want to bestow. The best we can do is to yearn to bestow like Him. When we have such a yearning, especially when we’re reading Kabbalistic texts, by that we evoke the force of the light to work on us and slowly correct us, until that yearning becomes reality.

If everything that happens in our world is as a result of spiritual force acting upon it, why does the level of suffering in this world have to be so severe? For the example, the suffering that involve children who are the most innocent and vulnerable in our society. Is this also coming from the Creator or is it a reflection of the level of egoism into which mankind has fallen?

Hi Brenda,

We learn from the Kabbalists that every single moment comes to us directly from the Creator, this is called “there is none else besides Him”. Furthermore, they also say that He is the “good that does good”. Meaning that every moment He is sending us nothing but goodness. But why then don’t we see this in our world? Why do we see so much suffering and problems in the world?

This is because our world is governed by our egoistic nature. This egoistic nature is opposite to the Creator’s nature. Because of that, it inverts the Creator’s goodness into something bad. It’s just like multiplying numbers: a positive times a negative equals negative.

So as long as we remain within this egoistic nature, we will continue to see and feel more suffering and bad things in the world. But if we correct our nature to be similar to the Creator’s nature, then we will reveal the true reality in which only goodness exists, and our previous egoistic state would appear as nothing more than a dream.

Hi Albert,

How is Kabbalah not a mysticism when by definition mysticism is “a pursuit of a direct, intimate union or experience of the divine, or ultimate reality. It involves accessing hidden spiritual truths beyond normal human perception, often focused on inner transformation and experiencing unity rather than just theological doctrine.” Isn’t the Kabbalah all that? And if scientific methods were used in creating the books, then why not call Kabbalah the scientific mysticism?

Hi Alexia,

I cannot comment on how others define this word, but when we use the word mysticism, we are referring to something mystical, something removed from reality, something that does not follow the laws of nature. So when we make the distinction that Kabbalah is not mysticism, this is because Kabbalah is very much so grounded into nature. Kabbalah researches nature and the laws of nature using a very strict scientific method: “a judge has only what his eyes can see” and “what we do not attain we do not call by name”.

Even our knowledge of the Creator is limited to our research tools, meaning the desire. And whatever does not enter into this desire, we cannot research or talk about. For these reasons, it’s more accurate to classify Kabbalah as a science.

Yes, Rav Laitman wrote about it in one of his blog posts, here’s an excerpt:

“Question: You said that 1995 was the starting point of the current events. What happened in 1995 that you are referring to?

My Answer: I felt this because suddenly, the students that started coming to study with me were different: They were serious, diligent, and persistent in their pursuit of the goal. Today they still make up the core of the worldwide Bnei Baruch group. Of course, there were also inner changes that are concealed from the average onlooker – a clearer revelation of new spiritual forces in the world.”

There is  5 levels of Spiritual  worlds.

So my question is does this 5 levels are connected with 5 levels of the soul?

Text sed that there were durning away from Kabbalah  to philosophy.As l understand all religions are based on philosophy, mysticism,humanism etc,but still consist spiritual knowledge.

Did the Greator personally intervene and mix in Kabbalah wisdom so that the people would have the will to return back to Greator?

1. Yes the 5 spiritual worlds are connected with the 5 levels of the soul.

2. Kabbalah is not a philosophy or a religion, it’s a practical scientific method based on the research of the Kabbalists.

The spiritual world is the root of our corporeal world. Meaning that everything that happens in this world is a result of the spiritual forces acting upon it. As such, by connecting to that spiritual root, a Kabbalist can understand why things are the way they are in this world, how these forces shaped our reality in the past, and what awaits us in the future.
